I think that the Inland Empire, and especially San Bernardino, may be the fast food capital of America.
The first McDonald’s was in San Bernardino, as was the ancestor of Taco Bell, Bell’s Hamburgers. A friend of Bell’s, Neal Baker, founded Baker’s Drive-Thru, a local chain with three dozen restaurants. And there are many other similar small fast food chains in the area.
